Manhattan office of our client seeks an associate attorney with 3-5 years of estate/business planning, probate, and elder law experience. The candidate will meet with clients to discuss their estate planning wishes and advise on estate, gift, GST, and income tax matters, plus Kansas property tax matters. Draft and review estate planning documents. Communicate with clients via mail, email, Zoom and telephone to keep matters moving forward and make certain that the efforts of the firms support staff are in tune with the clients needs. Advise clients on funding their trusts and follow-up to make sure the funding process is completed. Work closely with paralegal and other support staff on trust administrations, probates, and conservatorships. Must be licensed to practice in Kansas. Must have additional licensure or education such as LLM, MBA, or CPA. Must have experience with case management software (Lawmatics, Clio or similar CRM or practice management software). Must have experience with WealthDocx or similar document drafting suites. Must have experience with relevant programs such as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).

The candidate must have a J.D. degree. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must have excellent attention to detail. Must have solid organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and handle a caseload with minimal oversight. Works well as part of a team and is committed to our client care philosophy. Must have willingness for occasional travel to meet with clients. Must have good business sense and an entrepreneurial drive to improve the firm and provide the best legal services possible. Must have a desire to grow the firm into an organization that will provide for the legal needs of clients for years to come.
