Job Overview:
A highly respected law firm is looking for an experienced Securities Associate or Of Counsel to join its Investment Funds Group. This position offers the opportunity to manage structured securities offerings with a focus on commercial real estate law, including finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The candidate will work with a range of clients, including public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors, on complex transactions involving acquisitions, restructurings, financings, and commercial real estate development. This role offers flexibility, with multiple office locations available.

Location:

  • San Francisco, CA

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings with a focus on real estate law.
  • Represent clients in complex real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and offer solutions to complex legal and business challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure legal compliance in real estate transactions.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings.
  • Experience in commercial real estate law, with a focus on finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Experience in a top-tier law firm or equivalent environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to represent clients in large, complex real estate transactions.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent business judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
