Shaker Heights office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney with 1-5 years of experience in employment-based immigration law. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day preparation of immigration petitions and communication with clients. Will counsel clients and oversee a high volume of employment-based immigration cases including immigrant and nonimmigrant cases with USCIS, DOL, and the Department of State. Prepare immigration petitions and applications, including assessing eligibility, analyzing relevant legal issues, and developing evidence. Draft persuasive correspondence to relevant administrative agencies and respond to requests for evidence. Communicate directly with clients. Timely response to client and government communications. Delegate work to and review work by Legal Assistants, as appropriate. Assist senior-level attorneys with legal research and initial drafting of federal court litigation, if necessary. Participate in regular case status meetings. Consult with senior attorneys on potential case issues and develop case strategies. Maintain organized, legally compliant client files, monitored deadlines, and communicate the progress of cases. Conduct legal research regarding immigration laws, regulations, and procedures. Contribute to the development of practice processes to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with immigration-specific case management software is a plus. Bar admission is essential.

The candidate should have a Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a client-friendly focus essential. Must have ability to organize and outline evidence for content and clarity. Should have willingness to take on added responsibilities and learn new things. Must have ability to show initiative and work as part of a team. Ability to edit work of legal assistants and support staff essential. Meticulous attention to detail needed. Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of cases essential. Excellent time management skills essential.
