Jacksonville office of our client seeks litigation attorney with preferably 2 years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for providing high quality and cost-effective legal representation for the firms clients. Should have superior knowledge and expertise in the litigation process and provide excellent client service as part of the legal team. Will litigate cases to verdict, demonstrating superior use of trial skills and techniques. Handle a full to moderate caseload, with moderate level of severity and complexity from case inception through trial/resolution. Work under the guidance of senior litigation attorneys in litigating complex and high exposure cases. Conduct legal research, as necessary and supervise research projects delegated to paralegals. Independently draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other file documents. Attend court proceedings and other appointments independently. Learn and understand clients expectations and the firms business goals and assist them in meeting those goals. Handle and actively seek opportunities to become involved in special projects and on committees. Provide recommendations and case analysis to the firms partners on appropriate case handling strategy. Integrate legal support staff into case handling process. Build and maintain superior internal and external client relationships. Complete all required administrative tasks including time reporting, closing cases, general reports and other materials, appropriate to performance of role. Effectively make use of technology and automation in the practice of law. Adhere to all standards of excellence in file management. Travel as required to meet business needs. Mentor and train less experienced counsel and legal support staff. Provide advice and training to partners and clients. Maintain an active license in the applicable state(s) and comply with State Bar requirements for CLE. Insurance litigation work exposure is desirable. Must have successful completion of the Bar and ethics examinations in Florida state.

The candidate should have graduation from an accredited law school. Demonstrated track record of trial skills and techniques. Should have excellent and persuasive legal writing skills and verbal advocacy skills. Ability to clearly and succinctly articulate position is needed. Should have commitment to delivery of high quality legal work. Collaborative with team members and others. Demonstrable superior legal acumen and desire to acquire effective trial skills with increased litigation complexity. Articulate presentation skills are needed. Ability to effectively understand and utilize technology and automation resources, including, Microsoft Office Products, Voice Recognition Technology, and other law office management programs are essential. Independent ability to analyze legal issues with minimal supervision; continued development of technical skills with a goal of handling the highest complexity/exposure cases are essential. Personal integrity and adherence to a high degree of professionalism and ethical competency is needed. Strong research skills are essential. Strong negotiation skills are needed. Multi-tasking tolerance and success is essential. Should have decision making and problem solving abilities. Sense of urgency/responsiveness is needed.
