Job Title: Artificial Intelligence Research And Litigation Services Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Research And Litigation Services Attorney to provide legal advice, strategic consulting, and training services on legal issues related to generative artificial intelligence and the law. The role involves monitoring current legal AI developments, analyzing strategies, interpreting trends, and ensuring comprehensive guidance to attorneys, clients, and staff.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice, strategic consulting, and training services on legal issues related to generative artificial intelligence and the law.
  • Monitor current legal AI developments and inform attorneys of significant events through emails, bulletins, and other appropriate means.
  • Use Westlaw, Lexis, and other research platforms, including those harnessing artificial intelligence, to provide high-level legal research, analyze strategies, and interpret trends with respect to AI-related issues across jurisdictions.
  • Actively participate in internal firm working groups and practice teams focused on artificial intelligence.
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and Continuing Legal Education courses to remain current in case law and industry developments relating to emerging technologies.
  • Research judicial statements, court standing orders, and jurisdictional trends regarding the use of artificial intelligence, including transcript review and panel attendance.
  • Collaborate with various departments across the firm to develop repositories, best practices, training, thought leadership, and additional offerings.
  • Maintain familiarity with and effectively leverage emerging and innovative technologies.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to at least one US State Bar.
  • 4 years of relevant law firm experience as an innovation and/or practicing attorney.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to at least one US State Bar.

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide strategic support to firm leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of the concepts and principles of artificial intelligence concerning legal matters.
  • Ability to promote effective work practices, work as a team member, and show respect for co-workers.
