Civil Rights Trial Attorney

Chicago office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a civil rights trial attorney with 6 years of trial and litigation experience. The candidate will build strong relationships with clients whose lives have been impacted by miscarriages of justice. Will evaluate and investigate cases for merit and throughout litigation. Manage and conduct discovery. Draft and edit briefs at all stages of litigation. Prepare cases for trial and lead trial teams. Prepare and argue appellate cases. Supervise, mentor, and support junior attorneys and paralegals. Contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders. Depth of knowledge and experience in civil rights and/or criminal justice is required. Must be Licensed in Illinois and/or able to waive into Illinois.

The candidate should have demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil rights, and/or criminal justice. Must be an exceptional writer. Should have excellent communication and client relationship skills. An entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter are needed. A strong commitment to ethics, justice, teamwork, and respect for human dignity is required.
