Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney preferably with 2-7 years of legal experience with private funds works, including spending a substantial amount of such period at a law firm. The candidate will work on a variety of matters related to private funds. Will represent fund sponsors in connection with drafting and negotiating documents in connection with the formation of investment funds and compliance matters. Additional responsibilities include advising on corporate governance matters such as structuring, operations of the clients funds and management companies, succession planning, carried interest arrangements, employee investment programs, marketing arrangements, and limited partner transfers. Represent institutional investors in connection with primary and secondary investments in private funds. Must have proven abilities to draft and negotiate documents in connection with the formation of private investment funds. Experience in the following areas is a plus: advising fund sponsors on compliance and regulatory issues; assisting fund sponsors or investors in secondary transactions; and being familiar with a wide range of alternative investment strategies.

The candidate should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and client service skills, and the ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment. A J.D. degree from an accredited law school or equivalent is required.
