General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Liability practice group in Philadelphia, PA. This position offers an opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle diverse liability cases, including legal research, trial preparation, and client representation. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills and a collaborative work ethic.

Location:

• Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses for trial preparation.
• Attend trials, hearings, and arbitrations.
• Manage a billable hour requirement of 1950 hours annually.
• Travel may be required for court appearances and depositions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in General Liability litigation.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (admission in other states is a plus but not required).
• Superior analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Strong work ethic, self-management skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Prompt responsiveness to client and colleague inquiries.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar (required).
• Admission to other state bars is a plus.
