Phoenix office of an AmLaw firm seeks research attorney with 3+ years of legal and/or business research experience, preferably in a virtual setting. The candidate will be ensuring that all firm personnel, independent of location, receive equally high levels of service and support. Will be training attorneys and staff on resources as needed. Participating in local and national marketing and outreach initiatives related to research services. Working as a liaison with designated practice groups and the firms Innovation team by investigating and implementing how technologies, tools and processes, whether new or current, can increase efficiency, simplify workflow and improve the speed or accuracy by which work might be achieved. Engaging in competitive intelligence research involving high-level deliverables with insights, implications, and recommendations that impact long-term competitive strategy. Drafting and preparing documents including litigation and transactional documents including pleadings and contracts involving the latest automation tools. Performing other assigned duties related to research services. Project management and planning skills to prioritize competing assignments, including short term research assignments and long-term knowledge management projects are essential. An advanced degree in library science, law or business is needed. Research experience in the areas of litigation, corporate/mergers and acquisitions and labor and employment is needed. Strong working knowledge of a wide variety of print and electronic resources commonly used in a large law firm and consistent ability to determine the appropriate resource based on time and cost requirements is essential. Experience working in a large, global law firm or business environment is needed. Knowledge of Spanish and/or other foreign languages is essential.

The candidate should have excellent written, oral and email communication skills with the ability to synthesize and distill information from diverse sources and package in a user-friendly format. Strong dedication to client service is essential. Strong technology skills are essential.
