Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and revise legal briefs, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Manage all phases of fact and expert discovery, including the preparation and execution of discovery requests and responses.
  • Engage in deposition and trial preparation, including witness preparation and strategy development.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Represent clients in interactions with opposing counsel, clients, and the courts.
  • Assume significant responsibility for managing caseloads and client relationships.
  • Prepare for and participate in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategies and complex legal issues.
  • Maintain a high level of professional and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting briefs and motions, handling discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Proven track record of academic and professional excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and assume significant responsibility.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and professional demeanor.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Illinois, active and in good standing.

Skills:
