The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising on various employment-related issues and be adept at drafting and negotiating complex agreements. Duties:

  • Advise clients on employment-related compliance, including worker classification, wage and hour laws, immigration issues, union matters, collective bargaining, employment policies, handbooks, and equal opportunity laws.
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, including employment contracts and separation agreements.
  • Guide reductions-in-force and WARN Act compliance.
  • Draft and advice on restrictive covenants.
  • Conduct employment-related due diligence and handle employment-related representations and covenants in transaction documents.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address and resolve complex employment issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment law and provide proactive legal advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of employment law work experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
  • Experience advising on worker classification, wage and hour issues, immigration, union matters, collective bargaining, employment policies, handbooks, and equal opportunity laws.
  • Proven track record in drafting employment and separation agreements, handling reductions in force, and compliance with the WARN Act.
  • Familiarity with restrictive covenants and employment-related due diligence in transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top law school.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated client-focused work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Member in good standing of the New York Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Member of the New York Bar.
