Los Angeles office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks business immigration associate attorney with 2-3 years of experience. The candidate will conduct in depth research to support client requests and projects. Will draft and prepare letters and legal documents, typically based on established precedents. Develop expert level understanding of own client base and industries. Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information and support client projects. Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural, case processing issues and case strategy. Develop an understanding of the firms practice areas and services provided. Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States. Work with client global mobility personnel and the office of general counsel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL) for non-immigrant and immigrant status for foreign national employees. Support clients in immigration program management and compliance. Supervise the work of paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation. Must ideally have NIV (H-1B) and PERM experience. Should be a Member of State Bar. Prior team management experience strongly preferred.

The candidate should have a U.S. JD degree. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should have attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed. Should have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Must have ability to contribute to positive work environment.

The small Los Angeles office of this large international firm practices exclusively in the area of immigration and nationality law. The firm primarily represents multinational corporations, universities and other major organizations which employ foreign nationals on a temporary or permanent basis in the United States or abroad, but also counts among its clients several prominent individuals, including professionals, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and athletes. Female attorneys are respected and highly valued members of the firm. This office is particularly interested in outstanding attorneys with foreign language skills.
