Entry-level Employment and Personal Injury Associate Attorney

Parkersburg office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks entry-level employment and personal injury associate attorney. The candidate will provide claimants with the legal advice, guidance, and representation required to successfully win compensation. Will prepare and execute litigation strategies for assigned cases. Work with legal assistants and paralegals to prepare matters for hearings and trials. Represent clients throughout West Virginia in matters in circuit court. Represent clients at mediation and negotiate on their behalf. Help solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs and creating a strategic plan of action. Legal research and writing. Client communications. Negotiate settlements for employment and personal injury cases. Writing and reviewing discovery. Providing direction to support legal staff regarding trial preparation. Court appearances, legal research, and writing. Client communications, settlement negotiations, and appearing at mediation. Preparing cases for contested hearings and trials. Must be licensed to practice law in West Virginia. Working knowledge of employment laws and procedures is essential. Must be familiar with liens and healthcare reimbursements. Good with computer systems, e-mail, word processing, and the internet essential.
