Irvine office of an AmLaw firm seeks business immigration associate attorney with 2+ years of experience including managing others, overseeing work flow, and delegating case assignments. The candidate will assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States. Will work with client global mobility personnel and the office of general counsel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL) for non-immigrant and immigrant status for foreign national employees. Support clients in immigration program management and compliance. Supervise the work of paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation. Perform other duties as required. Should be a Member of State Bar Association (CA preferred). Must have 5+ years of business immigration law experience. Prior team management experience is strongly preferred. EB5 and E1/E2 experience is required. Experience with small to medium size clients across all nonimmigrant and immigrant visa types is needed. Knowledge of both IV and NIV matters is a plus.

The candidate should have a U.S. JD degree. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed. Demonstrated attention to detail is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands is needed. Ability to contribute to positive work environment is essential.

The small Orange County office of this large international firm practices exclusively in the area of immigration and nationality law. The firm primarily represents multinational corporations, universities and other major organizations which employ foreign nationals on a temporary or permanent basis in the United States or abroad, but also counts among its clients several prominent individuals, including professionals, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and athletes. Female attorneys are respected and highly valued members of the firm. This office is particularly interested in outstanding attorneys with foreign language skills.
