Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks mid-level energy regulatory associate attorney with 2-5 years of previous law firm or Federal Energy Regulatory Commission experience. The candidate will be managing reporting obligations for public utility clients before FERC and other federal and state agencies. Will be providing legal analysis in documents such as purchase agreements, corporate governance, acquisitions and dispositions. Providing counsel to clients on complex policy and business issues. Supporting the growth and management of client relationships. Performing general research and writing tasks for a variety of clients. Should have experience with the regulation of the electric industry to join the thriving Energy Practice. Must have broad-based regulatory experience before the FERC with emphasis on the electric industry. Experience with resolving disputes, either in regulatory/stakeholder proceedings at FERC or in an RTO/ISO, or through administrative litigation is a plus. Experience with transmission issues and with the gas industry is a plus. Should be admitted to a State Bar and/or eligible for the District of Columbia Bar.

The candidate must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong writing and analytical skills with an ability to effectively communicate practical ideas and solutions through concise written work product and direct client engagement. Must be organized, efficient, and able to prioritize, delegate, and manage complex and detail-oriented assignments. Understands the importance of exceeding client expectation and providing excellent client service. Embraces teamwork and values collaboration while exhibiting confidence and diplomacy.
