Norfolk office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm is actively seeking government contracts and construction associate with 2-3 years of private practice experience. The candidate will be involved with construction litigation and government contract matters and assist in other commercial litigation practice areas. Will represent clients in public and private construction and government contract claims and dispute resolution. Provide effective practical advice to clients regarding construction and government contract issues. Represent clients in bid protests (federal, state and local level). Assist white-collar attorneys in procurement fraud investigations and prosecutions. Draft and negotiate construction contracts. Assist in commercial litigation matters from initial intake through trial. Experience with public and private construction and government contract claims and dispute resolution is required. Experience with federal, state and local public procurement-related issues is needed. Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills are essential. Admission to the Virginia Bar is a must. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from a law school accredited by the ABA with an outstanding academic record. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with clients, other firm attorneys, support staff and outside professionals.

Seven law offices are based in Virginia. The legal practice began thirty years ago. A fairly large group of well-established attorneys comprise their law firm. Practice areas are across-the-board. A number of their practice disciplines consist of corporate-public finance, family law, health care, labor-employment, litigation and senior housing-care team. The firm was recognized by a prominent law publication.
