New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks practice resource attorney with 4+ years of mergers and acquisitions experience. The candidate will meet the knowledge management needs of the NY M&A group by developing and implementing systems and resources that identify, collect and organize internal materials, capture matter experience, and accelerate productivity through process improvement and technology. Will create, develop and maintain model documents, forms, precedents, checklists, commentary and other substantive content in cooperation with lawyers in the mergers and acquisitions group. Regularly monitor firm content to ensure it is up-to-date and readily accessible on our content-sharing platforms. Serve as a source of legal, market and practical expertise to the client-facing teams. Work closely with mergers and acquisitions leaders to identify areas of need in precedent management, matter experience capturing, efficiencies and knowledge gaps for training needs. Monitor and inform the mergers and acquisitions team of market developments, including with respect to judicial decisions, new regulations, best practices and market trends. Support writing and publication of client memoranda, blog posts and other external thought leader content. Design, coordinate and lead substantive mergers and acquisitions, cross-group and summer associate trainings. Be a sounding board and trusted advisor to junior lawyers on legal issues. Assist in business development efforts, including through assistance with thought leadership initiatives and client seminars and pitches. Assist with identification and evaluation of new legal technologies relevant to the practice of mergers and acquisitions; pilot and execute implementation of technologies in conjunction with the firm knowledge management team and the mergers and acquisitions team. Train members of the mergers and acquisitions group on relevant resources, technologies, content and content-sharing platforms and practices.

The candidate should have excellent organizational skills: ability to create a project plan, set deadlines, delegate responsibilities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be a self-starter able to progress work independently. Excellent collaborative skills to coordinate and organize across the practice group and practice group support structure is essential. Outstanding research and drafting skills is essential. Must be confident and effective communicator. Flexible scheduling with ability to work overtime occasionally is needed. Should have meticulous attention to detail.
