Patent Associate Attorney

Washington D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a patent associate attorney with 2+ years of patent prosecution experience and a technology background in computer science, computer engineering, data science, informatics, bioinformatics, and/or electrical engineering. The candidate will review invention disclosure documents and conduct invention disclosure meetings. Conduct prior searches, review references, and analyze patentability. Draft patent applications. Review USPTO office actions, formulate response strategies, conduct examiner interviews, and draft and file responses. Manage US and foreign dockets. Analyze patents in connection with due diligence and/or freedom to operate analyses. Should have experience in one or more of the following technologies: artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Prior work experience in a law firm is strongly preferred. USPTO admission is required.

The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A high level of professionalism in working and engaging with demanding clients is required. The ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings is needed.
