Fort Lauderdale office of our client seeks associate attorney with 2+ years of experience litigating property damage insurance claims as Plaintiff or Defense counsel. The candidate will be managing large case load of property insurance claims pre-litigation and in litigation. Will be drafting substantive motions and pleadings and responses thereto. Discovery, hearings, depositions, negotiating settlements, mediation, client consultations; and EUOs. Should have experience in litigation process and procedure all while producing high-quality work product, providing superior service and obtaining excellent results. Must preferably have some jury trial experience but must have extensive experience taking and defending depositions, handling motion practice and drafting complicated motions and legal memoranda in a clear and concise manner. Must be a Member of the Florida Bar in good standing. Experience in federal court is a plus. Knowledge and experience in civil litigation with a focus on first party property claims litigation is essential. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

The candidate should be skilled in evaluating and analyzing potential cases. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision is needed. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) is essential. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively is needed. Must be a team player, personable. Must be technologically savvy, comfortable using process management systems and fully and effectively utilizing technology and automation.
