Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney with ten years of experience to enhance its litigation team in Cleveland. The successful candidate will manage complex commercial disputes through all phases-from pleadings to trial-while collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal colleagues.

Duties

• Draft and file complaints, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Manage discovery processes, including drafting requests and responding to production demands
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on contract and business tort issues
• Prepare for and argue motions in state and federal courts
• Lead trial preparation efforts, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and trial outlines
• Engage with clients to deliver case updates and strategic recommendations
• Coordinate with expert witnesses, co-counsel, and support staff to achieve case objectives

Requirements

• Ten years of experience in commercial litigation
• Active admission to the Ohio Bar
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-stakes matters from inception through resolution
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple dockets and deadlines
• Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy capabilities

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Ohio Bar admission
