Leesburg office of our client seeks title attorney with 3-5 years of experience in real estate. The candidate will perform complex technical work in the preparation, review and examination of title searches, legal documents, legal descriptions and cures any impediments that may prevent the transfer of real property. Will review title searches, update and examine abstracts of title, leases, contract and other legal documents to determine ownership of land. Review legal descriptions, sketch, survey and prepare and review instruments of conveyance and related documents for proper form, accuracy appropriateness and completeness. Research and resolve outstanding liens, judgments, and other title issues. Coordinate with team members and Clients in obtaining necessary information to resolve title matters. Provide Title Curative direction, oversight and training to staff to resolve title issues and clouds on title. Answer questions related to items listed on the title product(s). Draft and/or oversee preparation of legal documents in connection with the transfer of real property (Deeds, Affidavits, CD/Settlement Statements). Timely completion of all required work functions including task queue, updating, follow-up. Proactively anticipate curative requirements and potential title issues. Communicate with Underwriters/Title Companies as needed. Run reports to determine outstanding files with issues. Frequent/constant communication with all pertinent parties associated with the curative effort. Licensed in VA/MD/DC is preferred.

Ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to work meticulously to ensure quality of work. Ability to manage heavy workloads and projects.
