Intake Attorney

Job Overview: A premier law firm in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an experienced Intake Attorney specializing in Criminal Defense. The Intake Attorney will be responsible for vetting cases, providing legal advice, and ensuring excellent client service.

Location:

• Phoenix, Arizona

Duties:

• Monitor the firm's case management software for live cases to evaluate
• Review intake documents and sheets from potential clients
• Identify and assess potential criminal cases
• Suggest legal strategies and services for potential clients
• Communicate with existing clients regarding additional services beyond current contracts
• Answer legal questions and explain legal processes to potential and existing clients
• Provide feedback to the sales team on potential client meetings
• Supervise intake paralegals and virtual assistants

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in Criminal Defense Law
• Ability to collaborate with fellow associates and strategize effectively
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward
• Experience in criminal defense, intake, or post-conviction relief
• Familiarity with case management software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona
