Corporate Partner

Atlanta office of our client seeks corporate partner with 8-12 years of experience in medium to large size law firm in areas of corporate representation of small and middle market businesses. The candidate will be providing clients with corporate and strategic counsel services focusing on representing the multi-disciplinary needs of business clients. Will be handling client contractual issues such as: licensing, distributor and other revenue generation agreements, strategic alliances, partnerships, and suppliers; good working knowledge of IP law, privacy law and related areas applicable to technology-based businesses. Assisting clients with structuring and implementing growth and exit strategies, investment transactions, business succession, and merger and acquisition issues. Structuring strategy, implementation, and management of client intellectual property legal issues (domestic and international); brand protection and building, creative protection, and general IP management. Strategy, protective negotiation, and constant interaction with client business teams. Assume front-line responsibility for client projects, including communicating directly with the client, and shepherd client projects from beginning to completion. Must have possession of a license to practice law in Georgia or Colorado (NY, FL and/or CA a plus). Experience in intellectual property, employment law, private securities, or tax a benefit.

The candidate should have a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree. Must be a self-starter, interested in growing firm clients. Must have proven track record of developing strong, trusting, and long-lasting client relationships. Should have ability to handle fast paced workload and add value to multiple projects simultaneously. Must have ability to act as a Practical Strategist to balance business needs with legal risk. Should have ability to use hands-on approach to research, problem-solving, and client relations. Should have distinguished academics from ABA Accredited Law School, strong writing skills, a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.
