Global Commercial Transactions Attorney

Houston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks global commercial transactions attorney with 2+ years of relevant legal experience, including in contract drafting and negotiation. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with a legal review of the firms contracts with outside vendors in order to ensure that each contract executed on behalf of the firm is reviewed for significant legal, risk management, and business issues. Will be ensuring that each contract executed on behalf of the firm is reviewed for significant legal, risk management, and business issues and recommending modifications to contract language as appropriate: Ensuring that all contracts adequately protect the firms interests and not exposing the firm to unnecessary risk; Ensuring that relevant privacy and security concerns in relation to each executed contract are addressed; Ensuring that each contracts terms and conditions are consistent with the firms policies and standards; Ensuring that contracts are reviewed, revised, negotiated, and executed in a timely manner; Consulting with the owner of the vendor relationship and other relevant stakeholders to determine the firms strategy for negotiating business terms; May be asked to negotiate directly with a vendor when strategically appropriate for the relationship; Participating in training and outreach initiatives across the firm to introduce the contract review process, soliciting feedback to enhance the process and answering questions as necessary. Must have an advanced knowledge and skill in contract drafting and negotiation. Should possess the ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions. Must have an active Bar membership.
