Durham office of our client seeks a litigation attorney with 2-5 years of experience working on complex cases, particularly class actions. The candidate will assume increasing responsibility for litigating complex cases. Will draft pleadings, briefs, memos, and discovery requests/responses. Conduct legal research and work with expert witnesses. Investigate the factual and legal viability of potential cases. Attend and cover motions and other court hearings, present oral arguments, and take and defend depositions. Prepare for and, as necessary, participate in trials. Monitor cases in order to satisfy deadlines. Explore and implement ways to maximize case value. Communicate with clients with compassion and empathy and in a manner that encourages their confidence and trust. Support attorneys and staff within the litigation team. Experience arguing motions and taking and defending depositions is required. Trial experience is a plus. Experience as plaintiffs' counsel is also a plus. North Carolina Bar admission is required.

The candidate must have knowledge and understanding of legal discovery. Must possess strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills. Should be able to easily master firm's technology tools and processes. Excellent oral and written communications skills are needed. Strong attention to detail is required. Should have the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines.
