Senior Litigation Attorney Commercial and Insurance Law

This role involves representing clients in commercial litigation, insurance disputes, and regulatory matters. Duties:

• Manage a caseload from initial stages through trial, handling all aspects of litigation.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters, including commercial and insurance-related disputes.
• Conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and represent clients at both trial and appellate court levels.
• Engage directly with insurance adjusters and clients to discuss case strategies and updates.
• Draft briefs and legal documents for state and federal court proceedings.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients in regulatory, professional liability, premises liability, and other related areas.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and eligibility to practice in Michigan.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on commercial or insurance law.
• Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Michigan State Bar (required).

Skills:

• Expertise in litigation, with proficiency in both trial and appellate court procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead and manage complex cases.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
