Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Associate Attorney to join its growing Immigration Practice Group. This non-partnership track position is ideal for an attorney with 2-5 years of experience handling employment-based immigration matters. The role involves managing high-volume business immigration cases and providing legal counsel on various employment-based visa categories.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Handle business immigration matters, including EB-1, PERM, H-1B, L-1, E-1, E-2, O-1, and EB-5 petitions.

  • Manage and oversee case preparation, filings, and documentation for employment-based immigration cases.

  • Advise corporate clients on compliance with U.S. immigration laws and regulations.

  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in immigration law and policies.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop immigration strategies.

  • Review and prepare responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and other inquiries from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all immigration filings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing employment-based immigration law.

  • Prior experience handling a high-volume business immigration caseload.

  • Strong case management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent proofreading, editing, and time management abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and procedures.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in case filings.

  • Proficiency in immigration case management systems is preferred.
