A law firm seeks a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta office. Duties

  • Evaluate new cases, develop action plans, and establish budgets and recommendations.
  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, manage document production, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing comprehensive reports.
  • Negotiate settlements and assist in securing trial preparation when necessary.
  • Maintain consistent communication with paralegals, legal assistants, and team members to ensure effective case management.
  • Manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in mentorship programs and professional development initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation law or related practice areas.
  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia, with good standing in the Georgia Bar.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage complex tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in insurance defense is encouraged, though not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Georgia Bar in good standing.
