Sandy Springs office of our client seeks corporate transaction attorney with 6-8 years of sophisticated experience in corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, as well as corporate governance and securities. The candidate will support the acquisition of long-term, quality professional referral sources and clients through the design, development, production and implementation of promotional activities that produce qualified prospects for the services, ensuring that the marketing messages, financial standards and ethical considerations are met. Serve the clients primarily in the practice areas of business law and business transactions by communicating directly with clients and third parties in regard to specific client matters delegated by senior attorneys of the firm, and by producing quality legal documents. Review the work product of the legal assistant and paralegals to ensure that it meets the quality standards. Produce client-billable time in accordance with the billable production standards set by the firm. Meet with, advise and prepare documents for clients in legal matters within the area expertise, including: business formation, business representation, business succession planning, business structuring and risk management, business transactions, business tax, commercial lending, commercial real estate, family and closely owned business, franchise law, and general counsel. Plan and assist in the implementation of marketing activities and systems for the firm. Assist the attorneys of the firm with other client or firm projects which are delegated to you on an ad hoc basis. Ensure that work meets the firm's quality control standards. Prepare and ensure entry of time and expenses into the firms billing system on a daily basis. Proof-read and spell check documents before returning the documents to an attorney or client, and before sending the documents to an outside party. File notes, documents, email and other correspondence into their appropriate files. Place files in their appropriate file cabinets and drawers when not in active use. Experience working directly with clients and managing substantial components of a broad range of corporate and transactional matters is required. Must have admission to practice and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Must have a solid writing ability demonstrating attention to grammar and spelling; communicates clearly, tactfully, and in a concise manner both verbally and written. Should demonstrate the ability to create and follow processes to increase firm efficiency. The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is needed. Should take pride in paying attention to detail and have strong analytical skills. Must be able to manage workload, demonstrate ability to prioritize assignments; commit fully to the job and deadlines, and achieve the correct results efficiently. Should be willing and able to adjust to changing conditions or priorities. Must adhere to and further the principles and goals in the Statement of Strategic Purpose through everyday interactions and long-term activities.
