Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Consumer Litigation Attorney with twelve years of experience in consumer-focused dispute resolution. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-stakes matters, mentor junior attorneys, and collaborate with partners to drive client success in a dynamic litigation practice. Duties

  • Lead all phases of consumer litigation, from case intake through trial and appeal.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct complex legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on consumer protection statutes and regulations.
  • Oversee e-discovery workflows and manage document review teams.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and courtroom proceedings.
  • Negotiate favorable settlements and represent clients in alternative dispute resolution forums.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals on case management and litigation strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all court deadlines, procedural rules, and firm billing guidelines.

Requirements

  • Twelve years of consumer litigation experience in a law firm or litigation boutique.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
  • Proven track record of managing complex caseloads and achieving successful outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, with substantial motion-practice experience.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic case plans under tight deadlines.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California State Bar license.
  • Federal bar admissions (e.g., U.S. District Courts for Central and Northern Districts of California) preferred.
