New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks senior benefits employment associate attorney preferably with 5 + years of experience in employee benefits as well as workplace law and employment litigation experience. The candidate will provide advice and counseling to employer clients involving workplace law issues. Will represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations and in arbitration in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, wage and hour, contract, employment tort and non-compete cases. Train employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws. Work individually and as part of a team. Experience with defense of agency discrimination charges and lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims is required. Experience with health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, wellness programs, COBRA, deferred compensation, and executive compensation is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with health and welfare plans, tax qualified plans, executive compensation, fiduciary matters and transactional matters is required. NY Bar admission is preferred.
The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Must have excellent analytic, writing and verbal skills. Should demonstrate ability to independently produce quality work product. Excellent attention to detail, including working with document intensive cases is required. Strong organizational and case management skills, including managing numerous cases at once, are essential. Ability to work on a collaborative team and effectively utilize other professionals is a must. Ability to work in fast-paced environment is needed. Strong client acquisition and development ability is required. Strong commitment to continued client development activity is essential.
