St. Louis office of our client seeks associate attorney. The candidate will provide legal services for Litigation, Eviction, Bankruptcy and Foreclosure proceedings, including: draft legal documents, and manage and advise clients on legal transactions. Review and interpret laws, rulings, statutes, decisions and regulations to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit. Prepare and draft legal documents. Gather evidence to formulate defense or initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witness to ascertain the facts of a case. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. Prepare and attend legal proceedings, such as, bankruptcy court, cry foreclosure sales, and other court proceedings with the ability to clearly and effectively summarize cases to judges. Should have a Juris Doctor degree and be licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri. Also Licensed to practice law in the state of Kansas preferred.

Intermediate knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs will be needed. Must have a Juris Doctor degree. istens and shares by providing regular, consistent, and meaningful information. Listens carefully to others and ensures message is understood. Ensures important matters are shared with all appropriate parties. Communicates in a clear and concise manner. Using appropriate grammar, punctuation, and tone to enhance understanding and demonstrates professionalism through body language, including eye contact and posture. Having the ability to understand and effectively manage emotions to achieve a particular positive outcome. The ability to recognize, respond to, and respect others emotions, perspectives, and opinions. Recognizes issues, and determines actions needed to advance the decision making process. Follows up as necessary. Adaptability: open to new ideas and processes; adjusts approach to achieve results due to changes in information. Demonstrates skills and knowledge relevant to ones own function or work group. Applies current best practices and discipline over specialty areas. Stays aware of major developments in discipline or specialty area recognized by customers and team members for functional knowledge and skills. Arrives to work on-time every day and is dedicated to following through on all projects, goals, and aspects of ones work within the timeframes necessary. Research, interpret, and explain case law to employee and clients to advise on issues. Critical Thinking and Judgment: Demonstrates understanding of the law by problem solving with strategic thinking and creative innovation, by effectively analyzing the problem. The ability to independently make decisions that best represent the Firm. Excellent written and communication skills.
