Bryan office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a senior attorney with 5+ years of family law legal experience (first chair experience in 20+ contested property and 20+ contested custody bench trials). The candidate will be responsible for providing clients with legal advice, guidance, and representation. Responsibilities will include all areas of case management and trial preparation. Responsible for the competent provision of legal services, including legal research; drafting motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates; and overseeing and analyzing discovery. May delegate to Junior Associates and Paralegals to accomplish these tasks but remains responsible for ensuring the timely and professional completion of the work. Client interface and meetings. Develop legal strategies and advise clients regarding their best legal interests, serving as the principal contact between the Firm and the clients. Represent clients at mediation, in deposition, and in court for motions, trials, and other types of hearings. Manage cases from inception through trial. Assist with training personnel. Oversee, counsel, guide, train, and mentor Junior Associates and Contract Attorneys, including assigning work and monitoring work products. Assist with marketing and networking by attending functions, writing articles, and speaking engagements. Must be licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.

The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited law school - JD. Must have the ability to promote yourself as a skilled family law litigator. Must have a strong work ethic. Must have a positive attitude with a perspective of challenges are growth opportunities. Must have knowledge of the basic use of computers and the desire to learn new things that will make jobs easier. Must have proficiency with Word, Outlook, Dropbox, electronic legal research, and basic case management. Must be an effective and clear communicator. Must be able to track and meet minimum billable requirements. Must be an excellent and creative writer. Must have a strong belief in teamwork and a desire to contribute to the teams success in meeting its mission. Must have a desire to help others with compassion and understanding. Must be confident, independent, decisive, and take responsibility for actions. Must enjoy a challenge, can learn quickly, and love details. Must be a strategic, big-picture thinker who can also execute.
