Job Overview:
A leading law firm is currently seeking an experienced securities lawyer with 6+ years of expertise in managing structured securities offerings. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in commercial real estate law, specifically focusing on real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. This role involves representing a diverse range of clients, including public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors, in various complex transactions such as acquisitions, restructurings, financings, and development of commercial real estate. This position offers the flexibility of working from multiple U.S. office locations.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings, including complex real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, financings, restructurings, and real estate development matters.
  • Represent various real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents and agreements related to real estate transactions.
  • Provide strategic counsel on securities and real estate finance issues.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on various projects and transactions.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality legal services are delivered to clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings.
  • Strong background in commercial real estate law, with a focus on finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Experience working at a prestigious law firm, particularly in AmLaw 100 firms, is preferred.
  • Ability to independently manage complex legal matters and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to influence client and internal decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
