Title IX/Investigations Attorney Public School Districts

Duties:

• Lead and manage Title IX investigations for public school districts.
• Provide legal counsel on matters related to labor and employment law, including issues of discrimination, retaliation, and employee discipline.
• Ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation for educational institutions in labor and employment cases.
• Represent clients in hearings and investigations related to Title IX and other employment matters.
• Advise clients on best practices for handling sensitive legal matters within the educational system.
• Collaborate with school administrators and educational leaders to resolve complex employment law issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on education law.
• Extensive experience handling Title IX investigations and related legal matters.
• Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to discrimination, retaliation, and discipline in the education sector.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases with a high level of professionalism.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar (required).
