Plantation office of our client seeks a senior personal injury attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The candidate will work with the lead attorney to handle preparing and reviewing litigation documents, and calculating whats owed in each case. Will work effectively as a team member while also handling an individual caseload. Negotiate with third-party auto cases and must demonstrate leadership skills and possess excellent oral advocacy skills, thorough writing skills, and solid negotiation skills. Perform their duties under the direction of the principal attorney or senior attorneys to whom they may be assigned. Execute the owners strategic approach and then provide leadership and direction to paralegals and legal assistants. Work as part of a team with all levels of experience. Manage full case-handling responsibilities from inception through settlement. Effectively take or monitor statements of clients or third parties. Independently handle decision-making, of line to set case strategy, on a case-by-case basis. Regularly consult with clients, adjusters, and other parties as needed to effectively move cases forward to settlement. Effectively negotiate settlements including all aspects of liability and damages. Confirm vital correspondence and notices with insurance companies. Review demands with clients and with Intake Specialist Settlement disbursements, resolving subrogation claims, liens, and other third-party interests. Build client cases, verifying that all client injuries, damages, and other losses have been documented and are being presented for maximum recovery; Analyze case-specific legal issues and documentation (e.g. insurance policies, lien language, settlement releases). Review daily reminders. Review daily, weekly, and upcoming monthly calendar items and prioritize workload. Complete tasks Triage and prioritize responses to emails and phone calls Organize, sort, and summarize case information and files. Draft letters/reports/documents. Prepare responses to discovery demands. Prepare for meetings/Statements/depositions. Must be in good standing with the FL Bar Association. Experience successfully litigating Plaintiff (Personal Injury), Experience successfully calculating meds (valuing cases) to maximize demand outcomes essential.
