Philadelphia office of our client seeks a business immigration associate attorney preferably with 1-2 years of experience. The candidate will oversee the preparation of business-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications for multinational and domestic corporations. Will provide exceptional customer service with limited supervision. Counsel clients and oversee high volume of business immigration cases including immigrant and nonimmigrant employment-based matters including H1B, TN, L-1A and L-1B, O-1, E-2, E-3, EB-1 and National Interest Waivers and PERM processes, as well as federal court challenges and compliance audits. Prepare employment-based immigration petitions and applications, including Requests for Further Evidence, Appeals and Audits by the Department of Labor. Prioritize, organize and delegate workload to legal assistants. Consult with senior associate attorneys on potential case issues and proceeding case strategy. Draft correspondence to clients and relevant administrative agencies, as well as communicate directly with same when applicable. Maintain organized, legally compliant client files, monitor deadlines, and progress of individuals cases. Conduct legal research regarding regulations and procedures in immigration law. Contribute to the development of practice processes to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively. Must be admitted to the Bar.
The candidate must have the ability to be a professional leader and team player with strong drafting, proofreading, communication, and organizational skills. Should be meticulously detail-oriented with strong writing, critical thinking, research, verbal communication, time, and case management skills. Must be highly organized and disciplined with a willingness to work hard. The ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner is required.
