Houston office of our client seeks public works construction attorney with 6+ years of municipal and advisory law experience focusing on public works construction. The candidate should have an engineering, architecture, or construction management degree and/or extensive experience in construction. Must have experience attending legislative body meetings and be capable of independently evaluating and responding to routine contracting questions and disputes. Requires extensive document reviews, including interpretation of technical matters. Must be proficient in public contracting requirements, contract negotiation, drafting, and review, federal funding requirements, bid protests, surety/bond issues, insurance issues, and government code claims.
