A respected law firm is seeking a highly qualified Resource Attorney to join its Debt Finance practice group. This position is designed for an experienced attorney who excels in legal documentation, knowledge management, and internal operations. The role supports practicing attorneys by maintaining precedent libraries, overseeing deal term databases, tracking market trends, and assisting with legal education and business development initiatives. This non-billable, internal-facing position plays a vital role in enhancing group efficiency and legal excellence.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Manage and update the internal transaction database with details from completed deals

  • Coordinate with knowledge management teams to audit and maintain transaction data integrity

  • Track credit facility terms for recurring clients within the Debt Finance group

  • Draft, revise, and organize form and precedent legal documents

  • Curate internal legal know-how, including forms, templates, and sample provisions

  • Monitor market trends and legal updates relevant to Debt Finance

  • Prepare summaries and alerts to reflect changes in market standards

  • Collaborate on legal education initiatives and associate training programs

  • Assist marketing teams with pitch materials and external thought leadership content

  • Support internal attorney requests for resources, templates, and precedent research

  • Participate in knowledge innovation projects and practice support initiatives

  • Complete additional duties as needed to enhance group performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing in U.S. Debt Finance law

  • Strong understanding of credit agreements, security documentation, and leveraged buyouts

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale legal documentation and internal resources

  • Familiarity with research databases such as EDGAR, Intelligize, and Practical Law

  • Capacity to handle evolving resource initiatives and support innovation projects

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach to process and tool development

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Precision in legal drafting and documentation

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities efficiently

  • Excellent legal research capabilities and familiarity with industry databases

  • High attention to detail, especially in tracking and summarizing deal terms

  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-evolving practice environment

  • Proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills
