San Diego office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney with some experience. The candidate will consult/interview Clients to ascertain the details of their legal matter with professionalism, effective communication and follow-up as required. Represent Clients before governmental agencies. Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, trusts, entities and contracts on behalf of clients. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law and in compliance with all legal standards and regulations. Research of legislation, case law, and other legal texts and sources. Inform Firm Partners regarding salient developments and meet external and internal deadlines. Ensure data obtained from Clients remains confidential and is stored securely. Track time spent on each assignment, as well as the ability to work within an established, projected time estimate. Exhibit time management and organization skills. Develop an entrepreneurial approach to client service and good working relationships with Partners and clients. Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrates basic knowledge of clients businesses. A forward-thinking individual with the capacity to plan and recommend prospective projects. Develop means of communication with both clients and inter-office communication with administrative personnel responsible for maintaining relationships with clients. Continue to develop legal expertise and keep updated with changes to legislation, especially in the areas of taxation, estates and trusts, and corporate law. Understand firm ethics, office standards and protocols and demonstrates them consistently. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

The candidate must have California accredited law degree (J.D.).Masters of Taxation (LLM) preferred. Must have intermediate accounting skills. Must have exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multitask. Must have strong computer skills and the ability to use a variety of software programs. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects in various areas of the law and meet both internal and external deadlines.
