Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Remain current with developments in workers' compensation law.
  • Draft pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain daily client interaction, providing updates and guidance as needed.
  • Utilize strong litigation and administrative skills to manage caseload effectively.
  • Apply working knowledge of administrative laws and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Handle large caseloads and prioritize multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with corporate professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively through written and oral correspondence.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in MO.
  • 0-5 years of experience in workers' compensation or related field.
  • Strong litigation and administrative skills.
  • Working knowledge of administrative laws and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle large caseloads and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Experience in defense is preferred.

 

Education:
