Reno office of our client, a Chambers ranked law firm, is actively seeking associates to join our Estate Planning Group. The candidate will work with and advise individuals and family businesses on tax, trust and estate and business succession planning. Will work directly with clients to identify estate and succession goals and develop and implement related strategies including drafting complex estate and gift planning documents (ranging from revocable trusts to GRATs, ILITs, dynasty trusts to other wealth planning strategies). Must have 2+ years of experience. Should preferably have an LL.M. degree. Probate and estate administration experience is a plus. Interest in preparing, researching and reviewing gift, estate and GST tax returns and the issues that arise in connection therewith are essential. Experience handling complex trust administrations and the issues that arise in connection with them, including valuation of assets, managing beneficiary expectations, and division and allocation of trusts are needed. Charitable tax and planned giving experience is a plus.

The candidate should have strong academic credentials with tax course work (JD required). Should have strong project management skills, ability to balance a large number of competing priorities. Ability to handle client matters independently, with minimal supervision is needed. Attention to detail is essential. Ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationship is required.
