Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in finance litigation and mortgage foreclosure. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Florida, with admissions in additional states considered a plus. This role involves researching case details, drafting legal documents, and advocating for clients' rights in commercial litigation matters.

Duties:

• Conduct detailed research on case facts, client documentation, and pleadings previously filed.
• Interpret and analyze case law, decisions from other applicable courts, and the effects of various factors on cases.
• Draft defensive motions, including motions for protective orders, motions to quash, and other relevant legal motions.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and legal documents such as legal memoranda and settlement agreements.
• Manage mortgage foreclosure and finance litigation cases, applying expertise in these areas.
• Advocate diligently for clients' rights and best interests in commercial litigation matters.
• Review and analyze evidence and applicable law to support case strategies and outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and procedural requirements in the management of cases.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
• Admissions in additional states are considered a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in finance litigation, mortgage foreclosure, or related fields.
• Experience in collections or consumer finance litigation is desirable.
• Proficiency in researching legal issues, drafting motions, and preparing legal documents.
• Strong advocacy skills and the ability to represent clients' interests effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Florida.
• Additional state admissions are a plus.
