Criminal Defense Associate Attorney

The role involves advising clients, attending court hearings, and preparing legal documents, all while working under the guidance of the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney.

Location:

• Phoenix, Arizona

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and prepare legal documents related to their cases
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice after each hearing
• Handle court appearances, trials, drafting of motions, witness interviews, and legal research
• Analyze potential case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents
• Manage the workload of assigned cases efficiently
• Provide clients with legal analysis to determine case benefits and strategies
• Gather additional evidence to support the defense or counter the prosecution’s charges
• Prepare clients for depositions and gather testimony from witnesses and experts to support the defense strategy

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience in Criminal Defense Law
• Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to strategize and assist fellow associates
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona
