Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Insolvency Associate Attorney

New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency associate attorney with 5-7 years of experience. The candidate will also work with the team members. Will coordinate the drafting and preparation of essential pleadings and filings, including first-day motions, DIP financing, cash collateral orders, and motions, sale motions, and plan/disclosure statement documents. Substantial familiarity with federal and bankruptcy courts in the Southern District of New York. Prior experience with substantial familiarity with the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Must be familiar with debt finance documents and complex capital structures, with a particular focus on inter-creditor agreements and disputes. Knowledge of bankruptcy, federal and state court practice and both statutory and local rules is essential. Bankruptcy court clerkship appreciated. Familiarity with bankruptcy, and federal and state court procedural rules and practices is essential. Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in New York. Should have strong writing and oral communication skills, and an ability to learn new substantive legal topics and industry trends. Must have clear and effective drafting skills. Juris Doctor essential.
