Duties

  • Draft, review, and update wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Design and implement estate tax minimization and asset protection strategies.
  • Administer decedent estates and provide counsel to trustees and executors.
  • Represent clients in contested probate and trust litigation in California courts.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on probate and trust law developments.
  • Coordinate with financial planners, accountants, and other professional advisors.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and oversee paralegal deliverables.

Requirements

  • 12 years of hands-on Trusts and Estates practice.
  • Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
  • Proven track record in estate planning, trust administration, and probate litigation.
  • Exceptional drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated client relationship development and management abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar (required).
  • Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) or equivalent (preferred).

  • Deep knowledge of California Probate Code and federal estate tax regulations.
