St. Paul office of our client seeks attorney with experience. The candidate will answer, respond, and initiate phone or video calls with potential clients, clients, and other third parties. Will reply and initiate email, letter, and text-message correspondence with potential clients, clients, and other third parties. Gather evidence from potential clients, clients, and other third parties. Draft memoranda of law, motion documents, and other court-related documents. Schedule meetings, appointments, hearings, depositions, and other engagements. Maintaining client files and follow office procedures on processing files thru to completion. Keep accurate record of their work hours for purposes of client billing, time use, and employment rights. Use the practice management software, email/chat system, document storage system, e-signature software, Odyssey eFS, MNCIS, MCRO, and other electronic tools. Attend remote and in-person meetings and events. Conduct legal research to identify critical legal authority on specific issues in support of ongoing litigation. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for use in representing clients. Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents. Complete legal analysis concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations. Maintain current knowledge of select areas of law and continually increasing subject-matter understanding. Research and apply policy language, statutes, regulations, common law, and other applicable legal and business management concepts, to the facts of a case. Review evidence to determine its strength and value in litigation. Utilize e-discovery platforms and relevant technology in order to review documents for litigation. Work on trial preparation including lining up witnesses, preparing jury instructions, voir dire, exhibits and verdict sheets. Perform other related tasks. Should have an LL.M. degree. Must have fluency in Spanish and English to allow for review and analysis of Spanish and English language documents; and conversation with Spanish-speaking persons.
