Austin office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks technology specialist preferably with 1-2 years of patent prosecution experience in bioinformatics. The candidate will work on cutting-edge technologies with top-tier clients from day one. Will draft patent applications for innovative clients, including descriptions and figures. Correspond with patent office about pending patent applications. Advise patent litigation teams based on technical and scientific area of expertise. Interview inventors about new ideas. A Ph.D. degree in computational biology, bioinformatics or related field is required. Solid understanding of biochemistry, particularly next-gen sequencing, sequencing data, and/or fluorescence imaging of biochemical moieties is essential. Must be registered before the USPTO.

The candidate must have superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
