Detroit office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a chemistry patent associate attorney with 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field and have strong patent prosecution skills. Should preferably have experience drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications and preparing patent opinions in chemistry or similar technology. Experience preparing responses to Office Actions issued by the USPTO is required. Should preferably have immediately transferable skills and law firm experience. Must be registered to practice before the Patent Office. Must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar in which admitted to practice. Timely admission to the MI Bar will be required.

The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and have a strong academic background. Should preferably have strong legal writing and research skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
