Patent Agent/Technical Advisor

Las Vegas office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a patent agent/technical advisor with 2 years of experience. The candidate will be primarily responsible for preparing and prosecuting patent applications filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and foreign patent offices. Will provide technical guidance to attorneys in assisting clients to document inventions, counseling clients on comprehensive IP strategy, prior art analysis, and IP portfolio management. Experience with foreign patent applications is helpful. Registration to practice before the USPTO is a plus. Bachelors Degree (or advanced degree) in Electrical, Computer Engineering, and/or Telecommunications is required. Industry experience preferred. Must be Computer self-sufficient (complete Microsoft Office Suite). Proficiency with specialized software and online programs as required.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and team-oriented. Must have excellent writing and communication skills. The ability to multi-task independently under deadlines, efficiently manage firm resources, effectively delegate (as appropriate), and prioritize and manage case assignments is required. The ability to effectively present information and professionally respond to questions is needed. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills. The ability to recognize inefficiencies in the work process and contribute to improvements is needed. Should have the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity.
